The Gwinnett Arena opened on February 16, 2003.  It is the home of the Gwinnett Gladiators (the minor league hockey team for the Atlanta Thrashers).   The arena hosts many concerts and other events such as Stars on Ice and American Idol.

The Parkview Band Boosters Association Inc., has contracted with Proof of the Pudding to provide volunteers for concession stands and a beer cart at the Gwinnett Arena.

EFFECTIVE December 1, 2008 we will be using a flat-rate of $25 for each worker ($30 for Lead worker) that participates in Arena events.  This amount is credited to the student's band account for each worker (parent, students, relatives or friends) that work on behalf of that student.  Please see the band handbook for detailed information regarding your student's band account.

  • Close to Home (Sugarloaf Pkwy and I-85)

  • Parking is FREE

  • Most events take only a 5-6 hour commitment

VOLUNTEER PARKING

Volunteer parking is now in Lot A3, which is the lot next to the parking garage. When you come in the main entrance off of Sugarloaf, go all the way to the right and follow the concrete wall. (It is where volunteers parked prior to the construction of the parking garage.)

After you park, walk past the security gate, like you are walking behind the building.  Just past the second car entrance to the parking garage is the new employee entrance door, it is marked. Do not walk into the parking deck. You will be entering through an actual door. Keep going up this corridor, it takes a right turn,  to the next door and turn left.  The new check-in area will be in front of you.

After checking in you will go up the stairs to your right and through a glass door and enter the actual parking deck. Walk to the left, then to the right, and then right again.  The elevators will be on your right.

You will take the new elevator up to level 4, this will put you outside the front of the Arena.  You will enter through a front door and you will be on the Concourse Level.  There will be Showpros there to let you in.  When you get in, go to the right and you will see the concession stands ahead of you.  Enter through the door next to Bruster's.
